These General Terms and Conditions regulate the provision of the automated luggage storage service offered by Diego Valdelomar Massó (hereinafter, “THE LOCKER STOP”) through the website www.thelockerstop.com

PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT

The service that is the subject of this contract consists of the rental of automated lockers for the temporary storage of luggage and personal belongings, located at Carrer Sepúlveda 123, Ground Floor 1B, 08015, Barcelona.

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

What is The Locker Stop?

The Locker Stop is a 100% automated luggage storage service that allows you to rent a locker at any time of the year, quickly and easily.

Operation

The usage process is as follows:

  1. The user makes a reservation through the website
  2. Receives access codes to the premises and locker by email
  3. Accesses the premises using the provided code
  4. Stores their belongings in the assigned locker
  5. Can access the locker as many times as needed during the contracted period

Available locker sizes

The Locker Stop offers three types of storage lockers:

  • M (30 × 30 × 50 cm / 45 L): Ideal for two backpacks, a motorcycle helmet or clothing items.
  • L (40 × 60 × 50 cm / 120 L): Perfect for 2 carry-on suitcases or 1 carry-on suitcase + 2 backpacks. Most popular option.
  • XL (60 × 90 × 50 cm / 270 L): Enough space for a giant suitcase.

Important: The price is charged per locker, not per item. You can place several suitcases, backpacks or bags inside the same locker as long as they fit comfortably.

Schedule

The premises are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

BOOKING PROCESS

Advance booking

It is recommended to book in advance to ensure locker availability. It is also possible to make a reservation on-site by scanning the QR code available at the door of the premises. The premises have free WiFi to facilitate reservation management.

Availability check

When starting the reservation, the system will show real-time availability of the desired locker size.

Rental duration

Lockers are rented by full days, with a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 30 consecutive days.

Booking confirmation

Once the reservation is completed and payment is made, the user will receive by email:

  • Booking confirmation
  • Access codes to the premises
  • Locker access codes
  • Assigned locker number
  • Usage instructions

PRICES AND PAYMENT METHODS

Prices

Current prices are displayed on the website when making the reservation and include all applicable taxes.

Payment methods

Payment will be made at the time of formalizing the reservation through the following means:

  • Credit/debit card
  • Other electronic payment methods available on the platform

The charge will be made at the time of booking confirmation.

Invoicing

If you need an invoice, you must request it at the time of making the reservation by providing your complete tax details.

MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS

Modifications

The user may modify their reservation (dates, locker size, etc.) as long as the modification is made at least 24 hours before the start of the reserved service and there is availability.

Cancellations

The user may cancel their reservation as long as the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the start of the reserved service. In this case, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will not be entitled to a refund.

Procedure

To modify or cancel a reservation, the user must contact THE LOCKER STOP through:

PERMITTED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS

Permitted items

In your locker you can store everything that fits inside, as long as it is not on the list of prohibited items.

Prohibited items

It is not allowed to store:

  • Illegal objects or those whose possession requires a license without authorization (weapons, ammunition, drugs, stolen material, degrading content, etc.)
  • Dangerous or contaminating substances (flammable, chemical, toxic)
  • Animals or other living beings
  • Food, except packaged food without risk of spillage, stains or odors

User responsibility

The user is solely responsible for the contents of their locker and declares that they will not introduce any of the prohibited items. THE LOCKER STOP reserves the right to inspect the contents of lockers in case of founded suspicion of non-compliance with these conditions or by requirement of the competent authorities.

SECURITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

Security measures

THE LOCKER STOP has:

  • Video surveillance system connected to Surveillance Center
  • Connection with the Police 24 hours a day
  • Alarm and intruder detection systems
  • Access control through personalized codes

Insurance

In the unlikely event of an incident inside the premises, THE LOCKER STOP has insurance with AXA Seguros that covers up to €400 per suitcase.

Coverage requirements:

  • Filing of police report
  • Proof of value of affected items

Coverage exclusions:

The insurance does NOT cover:

  • Cash
  • Jewelry and valuables
  • Electronic devices
  • Important documents
  • Storage media with data or images (USB, hard drives, memory cards, etc.)

Limitation of liability

Taking into account the characteristics of the service and the security measures implemented, THE LOCKER STOP is responsible for damages and losses caused to items stored in the lockers up to a maximum limit of €400 per locker, provided that:

  • The damage is attributable to THE LOCKER STOP
  • A police report is filed within 24 hours of discovering the incident
  • The value of the affected items is proven by invoice, purchase receipt or similar

Recommendations:

  • Do not store items whose value exceeds €400
  • Take extreme precautions with important personal documents
  • Do not store items excluded from insurance coverage
  • Personal documents and valuables are stored at your own risk and responsibility

USER OBLIGATIONS

The user agrees to:

  • Provide truthful and complete information in the booking process
  • Not introduce prohibited items in the locker
  • Make proper use of the facilities
  • Respect the operating rules of the premises
  • Properly close the locker after each use
  • Remove their belongings before the end of the contracted period
  • Not assign or transfer their reservation to third parties without authorization

SERVICE TERMINATION AND ABANDONED ITEMS

End of contracted period

The user must remove their belongings before the end of the contracted period. Once the rental period has elapsed, THE LOCKER STOP may proceed to open the locker and remove the items.

Abandoned items

If 7 days have passed since the end of the contracted period and the user has not removed their belongings or contacted THE LOCKER STOP, they will be considered abandoned and THE LOCKER STOP may dispose of them in accordance with current legislation.

In case of abandoned items, THE LOCKER STOP will attempt to contact the user through the details provided in the reservation. Additional storage and management costs will be borne by the user.

DATA PROTECTION

The personal data provided by the user will be processed in accordance with what is established in our Privacy Policy, available at www.thelockerstop.com

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with the provisions of Article 103 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users, the right of withdrawal will not be applicable to:

  • The provision of services related to leisure activities, if the contract provides for a specific date or period of execution.

Therefore, once the reservation is confirmed and in the event that the service must be provided on a specific date, the right of withdrawal will not be applicable. However, the user may cancel their reservation in accordance with section 6 of these General Conditions.

Alternative dispute resolution

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 524/2013, the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform available at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/

Notwithstanding the above, the user may also file their complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Boards or other competent alternative dispute resolution bodies.

APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These General Conditions are governed by Spanish law.

For the resolution of any controversy arising from the interpretation or execution of these General Conditions, the parties expressly submit to the Courts and Tribunals of Barcelona (Spain), with express waiver of any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.

However, if the user has consumer status in accordance with current regulations, the Courts and Tribunals of the consumer’s domicile will be competent.

MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONS

THE LOCKER STOP reserves the right to modify these General Conditions. In case of modification, the new version will be published on the website indicating the date of the last update.

The applicable conditions will be those in force at the time of formalization of each reservation.

PARTIAL NULLITY

If any clause of these General Conditions were declared null or inapplicable, such nullity will not affect the validity of the rest of the clauses, which will maintain their full validity and effects.

Making a reservation through the website www.thelockerstop.com implies express acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions, as well as the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
